Donkey Punch is Not a Good Movie but it is Entertaining

Donkey Punch directed by Oliver Blackburn.

A wild boat party turns tragic for a group of excited adult teens in British horror, Donkey Punch, directed by Olly Blackburn.

Three girlfriends Lisa (Sian Breckin-), Kim (Jaime Winstone- Kidulthood), and Tammi (Nichola Burley- StreetDance 3D) travel from Leeds to Mallorca, Spain, to spend a few girly days together in order to help Tammi get over her cheating. On their bar crawl travels they meet Marcus (Jay Taylor- Rise of the Foot Soldiers), Bluey (Tom Burke- Only God Forgives) and Josh (Julian Morris- Cry Wolf), where they steal a bottle of champagne for fun.

Like typical bragging boys, the young men tell the young ladies that they are the crew of a motor pleasure yacht and invite the girls to visit the vessel. Upon reaching the marina, Tammi tries to get her friends to head back, only to be told she’s boring and that she can go back but they’re staying. Tammi stays and the girls meet chief-engineer and friend of the boys Sean (Robert Boulter- Doctors TV series), and head on out to sea to continue the fun and partying.

The seven youngsters all take an illegal substance and very quickly sexual talk becomes hot topic, including the act of the Donkey Punch (which I’ll leave for you to find out about, if you don’t already know). As more substances are consumed, five of the group head downstairs to get more acquainted. When Josh decides to practice the Donkey Punch on Lisa, it becomes the catalyst to one bloody ride. Chaos ensues as the youngsters try to bump each other off.

Donkey Punch is by no means a good movie, but nevertheless, decent acting and fast pacing make it for somewhat an entertaining picture. Few of the characters survive to see the end credits, and it’s never clear exactly who you should root for, but I quite liked that.

As long as you don’t mind sex, drugs with a sprinkle of blood, Donkey Punch, may keep you entertained.
