Today, Summit Entertainment has announced a release date for their upcoming action/fantasy film, The Last Witch Hunter. The picture is currently in production. Come inside for the details on when the film will see nationwide release and more.
The Last Witch Hunter is slated to hit theaters nationwide almost exactly one year to the day from today. It will begin its theatrical bow October 23, 2015. The film is set to be directed by Bernie Goldmann and will be produced by Goldmann, Mark Canton, Vin Diesel, Samantha Vincent under the One Race Films, Goldmann Pictures production banners.
Not a lot is known about the picture at this point but the plot synopsis says that the film revolves around a witch hunter who is plagued by turmoil over the deaths of his family. He has been cursed with immortality and must take on the forces of evil to save mankind from the clutches of a band of especially nasty witches.
The film stars Vin Diesel as the titular character, Elijah Wood (Cooties, Open Windows), Rose Leslie (Honeymoon, Game of Thrones), and the great Michael Caine. Stay tuned to the site for new announcements! We will have more details on the production as they become available.
