The Green Inferno Poised for a Holiday Home Video Release

Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno is gearing up for a home video release that will see the film made available as a digital download in advance of the Christmas holiday (on December 22nd) and on DVD and Blu-ray January 5th.

In terms of bonus features, the home video release will include an audio commentary track with Eli Roth, producer Nicolás López, and stars Lorenza Izzo, Aaron Burns, Kirby Bliss Blanton, and Daryl Sabara. I would have really liked to have seen a featurette chronicling the film’s troubled road to the big screen but perhaps that will be discussed on the commentary track.

The Green Inferno marks Eli Roth’s first feature film directorial effort since Hostel Part II. It sees a group of friends opting to travel across the world in an attempt to ‘Save the Amazon’. This is a decision they come to regret when they are captured and tortured by a tribe of flesh hungry cannibals.

Let us know your thoughts on the film in the comments box below and stay tuned to the site between now and the film’s home video release for coverage on The Green Inferno and more.
